Restore Your Core, created by founder Lauren Ohayon, is a whole body exercise program designed to support women who are experiencing core issues such as diastasis recti, pelvic floor issues, incontinence, prolapse or persistent back pain.
This comprehensive approach will help you learn how your are moving and provide opportunity for more variety of movement, not just on your mat, but throughout your every-day life. As you become familiar with your habitual movement patterns, you will understand how you can create change giving you new patterns of strength, mobility, length and support.
The Restore Your Core method is designed to retrain your pelvic floor muscles to be functional, reflexive responsive and supportive to your body.
The Optimise Your Core package integrates the foundations of the Restore Your Core method into a bespoke package designed to support you personally.
If you aren't ready to jump in to a class package then you can always book a one of 1-2-1 session and then book any subsequent sessions needed separately.
When you sign up for the RYC® Optimise you Core package, you will be asked to fill out a confidential pre-screen questionnaire. During the sessions I will assess your breathing, your current core strategy and work through exercises to help you connect to your reflexive core. We’ll cover the foundations of the RYC® Program and I’ll give you H/W, some short videos for reference form our sessions and any exercises specifically designed for you. Please make sure you have enough space and a good set up so I can see you well, if we are working via zoom. This package can be booked as an online offering or in person.

RYC® 12 week online program is a great follow on after the RYC® Optimise Your Core package to continue the work and progress to the next level of exercises. I support many ladies who are doing the full online program and I am available for 1-2-1 Skype check in support sessions should you need. Fridays Core & More is an online class and a great follow on to continue the work and put it into practice. This class incorporates yoga and other movement modalities with RYC® concepts.
Healing takes time, consistency and commitment. There can be twists and turns to the healing process and sometimes even set backs. The RYC® facebook group is full of encouraging stories of women healing in ways they never thought possible and feeling more confident in their bodies ability to heal. There are also stories women taking a few steps back at times before moving forward, knowing that mind set, time, commitment and grace plays a huge part in the journey.

Q: How will this course be delivered? What kit will I need?
This course will be delivered in online via zoom and will include extra supporting videos for homework. Mat, yoga brick, blanket, cushion, half dome roller can be useful.

Q: How much time do I need to put aside for my RYC® Course homework?
15 mins a day minimum 4 times a week.
I’m yoga teacher and a certified RYC™ teacher and is was my experience of having diastasis recti after both of my pregnancies that lead me into this work. It became clear to me that a classical yoga practice wasn’t enough to help me recover so I stepped out of the yoga world to learn more.
I took courses with well-respected leaders in the field such as women’s health physios Dianne Lee and I tried many core recovery programs. I finally discovered the Restore Your Core program and it not only took my recovery to the next level, but empowered me with knowledge of how to move in a way that would be supportive to my body for the rest of my life. I am passionate about spreading this work to as many ladies as I can.
